about

‘A Woman Like You’ is your basic doomed love scenario country song.

Boy meets girl and they fall in love knowing it will end in tears.

Simple.

Song Review from Musicians Together Magazine
When I was asked to review Alan’s song, I knew what to expect – class.
In the ’70′s, I played in Alan’s band “Slick Coupe and the Convertibles”. We were covering ’50′srock and roll stuff – Eddie Cochran and all that Be Bop A Lu La type of thing. Alan’s singing was great, but the band didn’t suit either of us so we took our own separate musical paths. A group of us M.T. people were gathered in Darkey Kelly’s Pub in Dublin two months ago, singing and playing .Through the window , I saw Alan and thought , oh – oh ! Alan Begley is going to hear me trying to sing! Well maybe he’s not as good as he used to be, ha , ha - he was better!
Alan’s genre these days is country and has been, I believe, for quite a while. Even if you ain’t a country fan, ”A Woman Like You” is worth hearing. It’s Country – Alan Begley style, I can’t say more than that except, get it . Wanman Shau.
